Waste Heroes

About This Project

Waste Heroes, a recipient of an award at the 2019 Big Bang stage and winner of a spot in the 2020 ITU Incubation Program, is an intelligent platform designed to recycle beverage packaging consumed in the out-of-home channel while protecting nature. The platform designs machines and processes that efficiently compress, stack, transport, and separate packaging waste at out-of-home consumption points.

Targeting collaboration with beverage producers, out-of-home businesses, local governments, and third-party collectors, Waste Heroes aims to contribute to Turkey’s zero-waste vision by helping protect nature and reintegrate waste into the economy.

Focusing on the effective collection of recyclable waste to prevent it from polluting the environment—a global issue—Waste Heroes aims to become a global partner working towards the UNDP (United Nations Development Program) Sustainable Development Goals, which target achieving measurable progress by 2030.
