NOWHERE STUDIOS

About This Project

Founded in 2011 to produce games for PCs and consoles, Nowhere Studios released its first game, Monochroma, on PC, OSX and Linux platforms in 2014, and on XBox One in 2016. The game studio, which has raised $85,000 in funds through a Kickstarter campaign for this game, has been focusing on a new game series project since May 2016.

Planning to bring the concept of the “Adventure Tunnel” books of the 80s to the gaming world in its new project, Nowhere Studios has signed a contract with the famous British writer Anthony Johnston, who has made himself an important place in the gaming and comic book world, and has created a new cyberpunk world called The Fate of Dan Black. In this world, where the social events of today’s world are interpreted with the understanding of 80s science fiction, the character of Dan Black is looking for ways out for himself in the various adventures he has fallen into.

The total playing time will last about 2 hours in this game format, the player makes decisions that change the end of the game and can reach 8 different ends according to the decisions. In this concept, which is Deconstructed in the form of a series, the continuation of the games will be determined as a result of the votes to be held among the players.

Nowhere Studios, which plans to bring similar visuals to the comic book world to the game world, has received Tubitak support in this regard and is conducting graphic programming research on Non-photorealistic rendering (NPR).

Nowhere Studios, which is also developing its own game production line in order to develop games faster in Unreal Engine, the game engine it uses, aims to fit the 2-hour game production process, which currently takes about 7 months, into a time of about 3 months in 2018.

the first part of The Fate of Dan Black series-game “Apocalypse”, which consists of 8 different topics, is planned to be released on Steam, Xbox One, Playstation 4, Android and iOS platforms in February 2017.
