ECOMOD is a mini electric vehicle with modular design features that provide various functionalities. The KODECO team, which has significant industrial design, R&D, and prototyping experience and has received international awards in its field, aims to quickly commercialize ECOMOD for importation. Designed with a shared chassis and power transfer platform, the vehicle includes many optional structural components, taking into account the diverse needs of target markets such as transportation, logistics, and F&B services.
ECOMOD is designed with potential usage in both campus-like areas and urban regions. The vehicle meets the L6e class light vehicle classification in terms of engine power, weight, and speed limitations and has been developed in accordance with specification criteria.
Depending on the production configuration, ECOMOD can be used for passenger transportation, as well as for special cargo transport, technical teams, and mobile services such as coffee or ice cream delivery.
ECOMOD is differentiated from similar vehicles by its energy management solutions. Its battery, with a 4kWh storage capacity, features plug-and-play functionality and is easily replaceable with Li-ion battery technology. Thanks to the developed rail mechanism and automatic connection socket, the depleted battery can be swapped with a fully charged spare battery in seconds. The easy-to-change battery system reduces the vehicle’s battery weight, resulting in significant cost and energy efficiency improvements.
With the optional PV platform that can be integrated into the roof of the ECOMOD, it can generate its own required energy. By using high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon cells (22%), the system provides a 500W energy gain. This energy can be stored in the vehicle’s battery and also provide power to any electrical equipment such as sound systems, F&B heating/cooling, or technical services.
The ECOMOD project, which has also earned TÜBİTAK 1507 R&D grant support, is currently in the prototyping phase, with a launch presentation planned for the end of the year.
