Fon Radar: A Digital Platform Connecting SMEs with Financial Institutions
Observing this need closely throughout his 20+ years of professional career, financial manager Okan Ünlüçerçi and software development expert Elif Özdemir, based on their experiences, launched Fon Radar as an innovative service.
Fon Radar is a BDDK-approved, fast, and efficient digital platform that connects SMEs with financial institutions to meet their cash needs.
Launched in May 2019, Fon Radar became a finalist at the ITU Çekirdek Big Bang in November 2019 and won cash and non-cash awards from Yapı Kredi Teknoloji and EFSE.
Fon Radar offers SMEs the opportunity to quickly access the best alternatives for their receivables in just a few minutes, while also providing financial institutions with the chance to reach new markets at a low cost, shortening their sales processes.
To use the service, SMEs upload images of their invoiced checks to the Fon Radar iOS and Android applications and select which financial institutions they would like to receive offers from. Financial institutions send their proposals based on the SME’s request. The SME then reviews the offers, considering location and amount, and approves the most suitable one. The SME can then withdraw the money from the nearest branch using the Fon Radar reference number.
With its check module for receivables, the application enters SMEs’ pockets. It will also offer smart financial solutions through modules such as invoice assignments, e-checks, e-notes, receivable insurance, and guidance via machine learning, ultimately becoming the financial advisor in the SME’s pocket.
Fon Radar aims to open an office in London, a major financial hub, and plans to bring its SME solutions there as well.
