About This Project

With advancing technology, the demand for video data analysis is steadily increasing across the Automotive, CCTV & Smart City, and Retail sectors. Whether we welcome it or not, this growing demand means that we will inevitably see more cameras around us in order to support the development of such technologies and meet market needs. Recognizing this trend early on and the rising demand for privacy-enhancing technologies, Syntonym has been actively developing software solutions in these areas. The software developed by Syntonym replaces real human faces in video footage with entirely new, synthetic faces that have never existed, in a way that is irreversible—while preserving key analytical attributes such as age, gender, expression, and head pose. This enables the creation of video datasets that do not contain personal data, or allows previously recorded video data to be freely processed for analytical purposes without the need for notification or consent, and in full compliance with global personal data protection regulations.
