About This Project

Industrial control systems used in sectors such as energy, transportation, automotive, and water are among the top strategic targets for cyber attackers and a major concern for national defense organizations. A cyberattack on a production facility can cost companies millions of dollars per hour, while an attack on a power plant could lead to a nationwide blackout.

To help ensure the sustainability of public order, SafeTech has developed a solution called OTShield to protect critical infrastructure from cyber threats. OTShield is an intrusion detection and prevention system designed to safeguard critical infrastructure facilities against cyberattacks and operational threats. With capabilities such as AI-powered threat detection and prevention, attack analysis, and attacker profiling, OTShield secures industrial control systems in cyberspace.

Developed with support from TÜBİTAK’s 1512 program, OTShield has been recognized by several prestigious institutions, including EPDK-Elder, Mercedes-Benz Türk A.Ş., the Presidency of Defense Industries–Turkey Cyber Security Cluster, the Turkish Electrical and Electronics Exporters’ Association, and Endeavor Turkey.

With pilot programs launched in Turkey through a partnership with SIEMENS and support from EPDK, SafeTech has also entered the UK market after receiving an offer from CyLon, Europe’s first cybersecurity accelerator.

SafeTech was named one of the TOP20 startups at Big Bang 2019.
