About This Project

The increasingly polluted nature, rapidly growing population, and urbanization may lead us to believe that our future lives will be trapped in bubbles. However, making the inside of these bubbles livable is now possible. Named after the Swedish word for “bubble,” lykta, LYKTA GREENBOX is a company founded by entrepreneurs aiming to offer innovative solutions in sustainable agriculture and nutrition.

During a trip to Sweden, the founders recognized the need in Scandinavian countries where they have months of darkness and no arable land, forcing them to import all their vegetables and fruits. They decided to turn their shared hobby into an innovative science and technology company, founding LYKTA GREENBOX under the brand of LEOS SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY INC.

LYKTA GREENBOX is a joint initiative of Petroleum Engineer Ertaç ÇİFTÇİ, Lawyer Melis ÇİFTÇİ, and Industrial Engineer Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sinan APAK. Later, the addition of Agricultural Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Electrical-Electronic Engineers turned the company into a multidisciplinary venture. Combining their 20+ years of experience in energy, engineering, law, corporate management, and marketing with their passion for agriculture and technology, they aim to transform their project into a commercially viable business and become a technology and innovation firm that shapes the future and creates employment.

With their developed Aeroponic Indoor Plant Growing Modules, it is now possible to grow organic vegetables and fruits in environments lacking arable soil, sufficient sunlight, or water, as well as in megacities.

LYKTA GREENBOX offers three different sizes and designs for homes and offices: lykta hemma-wall, lykta hemma-table, and lykta-desktop. Additionally, they offer an educational product for children called Magical Beans.

The LYKTA GREENBOX team also provides solutions for the future of homes and offices and is collaborating with innovative architectural firms to design buildings with smart gardens.
