TURKEY’S MOST BEAUTIFUL DESIGNS ARE MEETING DESIGN ENTHUSIASTS AROUND THE WORLD!

Successful design brands from Turkey are gaining access to a brand-new channel, allowing them to reach design enthusiasts from all over the globe. Hippist, founded to build bridges between Turkish designers and leading cities around the world, is an e-commerce platform that targets the global market, starting from Europe, and brings together unique design products. Its goal is to help carefully selected Turkish brands and products enter international markets and contribute to Turkey’s e-export revenue.

The founder of Hippist, Deniz Kahraman, after working for many years in marketing, moved to London where she provided e-commerce consultancy for various brands. During this time, she realized that while Turkey is in a good position in terms of design, it is still far from getting the recognition it deserves in the market. She saw that although market entry is difficult, starting from the right place presents great potential for Turkish brands. Believing that designers are so focused on their work that they don’t have the time and attention for online sales channels and marketing, and driven by her passion for design, she founded Hippist.

Through Hippist, designers can showcase their brands and products to the most important markets around the world. They don’t just sell on Hippist, but also receive feedback from different markets, reach thought leaders, and test their products without taking risks.

Despite being newly established, Hippist is already selling products worldwide, including in the UK, France, Canada, the USA, and Singapore, and promoting Turkish designers.

For example, a local brand from Datça that is sold in local markets is now introducing its products to the world, while another Turkish brand that produces hand-carved wooden products is selling its wooden plates to an Italian cookbook author and the editor-in-chief of one of the UK’s leading newspapers, thanks to Hippist. Through the Hippist platform, brands without an e-commerce website can sell their products abroad, utilizing local payment channels and customer services.
