BIKOSHU

About This Project

Bikoshu was born from the dream of three entrepreneurial co-founders to bring the neighborhood culture of their childhood into the digital age.
As a virtual marketplace, Bikoshu enables users to shop online from local restaurants, shops, and stores within their neighborhood. After launching in Istanbul’s pilot districts of Beşiktaş and Şişli, the platform has quickly expanded into Sarıyer and Ataşehir.

Co-founder Tolga Özbilün describes their vision of a “virtual neighborhood” as follows:

“We aim to become the first platform that comes to mind when someone wants to order from their neighborhood. We believe we can save time for today’s busy consumers by offering access to all local businesses through one digital platform. With the support we give to small businesses and our emphasis on neighborhood values, we want to strengthen local awareness and solidarity. We truly believe that soon, Bikoshu will help local heroes across Turkey adapt to the digital age.”

Whatever’s in your neighborhood is now at your door with Bikoshu…
What sets Bikoshu apart from other online ordering platforms is its ability to meet everyday consumer needs—from corner stores to bakeries, pet shops to dry cleaners—all in one place. Bikoshu brings together a wide variety of businesses, including grocery stores, markets, restaurants, bakeries, pastry shops, coffee vendors, office supply stores, florists, cosmetic stores, and nut shops. Businesses of all sizes and sectors can become a part of the Bikoshu ecosystem.

Zero commission, full support for local businesses…
One of Bikoshu’s most innovative features is its zero-commission model: the platform does not charge member businesses any fees for joining or for order transactions.
According to co-founder Ceylan Ece Keremoğlu, this approach is disrupting the traditional marketplace model:

“At Bikoshu, we want to pass on the cost advantages of the digital world to our partner businesses. That’s why we offer our core services for free, especially to support small local shops. We’re excited because we believe this zero-commission policy will open the door to rapidly expanding our service nationwide.”
