02 Jul Big Bang Startup Challenge Wins Silver Award at Brandverse Awards 2024
The results of the 2024 Brandverse Awards, organized by Marketing Türkiye magazine and BoomSonar, have been announced. ITU ARI Teknokent’s incubator center, ITU Çekirdek, which has been identifying the best new startups for 12 years through Turkey’s largest entrepreneurship event, the Big Bang Startup Challenge 2023, won the Silver Award in the PR main category Event Management Section: B2B.
The winners of the Brandverse Awards, organized by Marketing Türkiye and BoomSonar with the expertise of Deloitte Turkey and evaluating thousands of brands, have been announced. In the PR main category Event Management Section: B2B, Turkey’s largest entrepreneurship event, the Big Bang Startup Challenge 2023, organized by ITU Çekirdek, the incubator center of ITU ARI Teknokent, was awarded the Silver Award.
20 Million Reach from Big Bang
Held last December, the communication efforts for the Big Bang Startup Challenge began three months prior. The event’s communication efforts reached 6 million users on social media, and influencer collaborations reached 2.5 million accounts. Through reflections in written and visual media before and after the event, a total reach of 20 million was achieved. The event management of the Big Bang Startup Challenge was carried out by Dream Design Factory (DDF), digital communication by Salt İletişim, and PR efforts by Brandworks İletişim Danışmanlığı.
Record-Breaking Event
More than 4,000 technology enthusiasts visited the Big Bang Startup Challenge event. Over two days, the startups’ booths and experience areas welcomed visitors in the foyer. On the first day of the event, the top 50 startups of 2023 were featured on eight different vertical stages. Going beyond a demo day event, the Big Bang featured a concert by Mustafa Sandal, DJ performances, and stage shows specially prepared for the 100th anniversary of the Republic, attracting the entrepreneurship ecosystem and technology lovers. In 2022, prizes, cash, and investments worth 341 million TL were announced on the Big Bang stage. Last year, this figure increased 3.5 times, reaching 1.28 billion TL in prizes, cash, and investments.
Big Bang 2024 is Coming
The countdown has begun for the new edition of Turkey’s and even the region’s largest entrepreneurship event. This year’s event, scheduled for December, is expected to feature numerous successful startups, break records in the resources announced for startups, and offer two action-packed days.
