We have talked with the General Manager of PhonoClick which offers high-scale customer interaction solutions to the banks and retailers since 2006 in ITU Arı Teknokent, Ahmet Yürekli, about the synergy created by ITU ARI Teknokent in the region and the affects of collaboration with the academics on the developed projects.
Cloud Based Corporate Information Systems
Our second most important field of operations is cloud based corporate information systems. We are licensing this solution to the service providers which offers internal communication, CRM, document management requirements in an easy-to-use and easy-to-understand social network metaphor. Our solution is in use by more than a thousand companies with the commercial brand of Bodru.com. Also, Bodru mobile applications are offered in Applie iOs App Store and Google Play Store, Bodru web application is offered in Google Crome Store.
Difference Creating Solutions in the Sector
PhonoClick solutions are always developed according to the highest standards in terms of scalability, availability and mobility. We believe these three criteria has great significance in delivering success in today's enterprise solutions. Significant jumps in all three criteria have become possible with cloud computing. PhonoClick is in fact an R&D company. All of our revenue happens as a result of licensing and disbursing of our own software based technologies developed by R&D studies. In this context, we receive support from institutions like TÜBİTAK, KOSGEB, İSTKA and European Union Environment Programs.
The importance of ITU ARI Teknokent for PhonoClick
We first started to work in ITU ARI Teknokent in 2006 in ARI-1 building. We moved to our current R&D office in ARI-2 building in 2009. ITU ARI Teknokent is important to us beyond the legal cost advantages. A significant portion of our customers are banks and it is very useful that our R&D team works close to the management centers of those banks so that they come together with the customers frequently to better understand their requirements and offer appropriate solutions in time. Also, being together with other companies that serve the same customers in different fields, allowing our developers to meet their developer in social environments, provides ground for new ideas and collaborations to emerge.

Benefiting from ITU Experience
Significant progress in this regard has happened in recent years. But we think that we should still make efforts to ensure collaborations similar to the US universities and industries to happen between the teknokent companies and ITU. We think that it would be better to use methods like physical proximity, sharing the same environments, benefiting from the conference, IT, even classes of the university. Unfortunately, as per the legal regulations today, when company workers step outside the office buildings, they have to consider the consequences like additional tax requirements, exception losses. However it would be very beneficial if socializing opportunities available between teknokent company employees could be offered between the ITU academic staff and students too.
Collaboration with ITU Academic Staff
We pay attention to allocate budget for consultants and interns especially for our TUBITAK funded projects. We aim to further increase that budget in the coming period. Limitations regarding office space can present an important problem when hiring interns. We think that creating a hotdesking area which can be jointly used by all the companies, even daily desk rentals with exception conditions apply will help a lot to accommodate university students and academic staff in our projects.
Internship and Job Opportunities for Students
We can offer internship possibilities for 3. and 4. year students. We regard our interns as our potential employees and choose them with the same due diligence.
Solutions To Affect Competition
PhonoClick solutions have a big impact on competition in the industries we serve ...We aim to offer our customers to claim significant success by using our technologies and reach benefits that cannot be otherwise attainable. We are not interested in solutions that have many alternatives in the same category and will not add significant value to the business results. We consider first according to these criteria when assessing our projects. Our growth and commercial success happen as a result of this.
New Goals, Projects
Our intention is to diversify especially our solutions for SME and retail companies in the coming period. We believe that some of the services we offered in the scale of a bank, especially mobile marketing and customer relations management solutions are now applicable to smaller scale companies since the infrastraucture to achieve that has been created..
